She's Gotta Have It centers on Nola Darling, a Brooklyn-based artist in her late twenties struggling to define herself and divide her time amongst her friends, her job and her three lovers.<br /><br />In one of the pilot’s most memorable scenes, Nola experiences a frightening and traumatic late night attack by a man who initiated contact by yelling “Aye, Yo Ma!” and other names at her.
